Unika’s history
1987
Unika Australia founded manufacturing coloured sealants for laminate installation.
1990
Unika UK founded in Glasgow, Scotland. Initially distributing its products.
1993
Unika UK buys out its Australian parent and sets up manufacturing plant in Newcastle, England.
1996
Unika relocates to a much larger manufacturing plant in Newcastle, designed and purpose built.
1999
Unika doubles the size of its factory and offices in England.
2004
Unika extends its office and laboratory space.
2009
New MSP line installed to manufacture coloured silane polymers.
2012
Introduced methylmethacrylates to its product range.
2016
Unika invests $750,000 in the latest MMA mixing, filling and QA facility.
2017
Unika introduces its own large mix resin manufacturing plant, the largest currently in Europe. Laboratory facilities extended to include QUV and advanced QA systems.
